My Shoes Don't Fit!
I was at a dance event recently where I offered people free shoe advice. I heard lots of foot related complaints. I also noticed a lot of similarities in the shoe habits of men and women who had “foot problems”. They were squeezing their feet into tiny little shoes. “My big toe joint hurts during or after dancing” was a common complaint. Whether it be the joint of the big toe, the balls of the foot, arch or heel pain, or blisters. The percentage of people I see for foot problems that are caused by misfit shoes is very high.

Horseshoes in the Dark
An experienced, professional horseshoe player does not have to actually see clearly where he or she is throwing the horseshoe. It is as though the horseshoe thrower can feel where the horseshoe is supposed to go. The distance, angle, and velocity at which the horseshoe is thrown, becomes a part of the horseshoe player?s very being. I realized this phenomenon many times and tested my theory as I played horseshoes in the dark. Some may think it is luck that I can throw well in the dark however, the quantity of successful dark throws contradicts this completely false and ridiculous assumption. Some may claim that my idea of successful horseshoe throws is an inaccurate quantitative measure of what is in actuality a successful throw, that my horseshoe throwing is never good whether in the light or in the dark. However, this assumption is based on completely false and inaccurate data. Nobody who makes such statements has seen me play in the dark, and how could they see where my horseshoes were going anyway if it was too dark to see. The only way they could tell is if they had the horseshoe sixth sense which allows expert horseshoe throwers to estimate blindly where their horseshoe is going as accurately as they do.
Interview Shoes - The RIGHT Styles for Men and Women
Interview attire advice often focuses on suit colors and cuts for men and whether to wear a skirt or slacks for women and the color of either. Other articles of interview attire are even more important. A case in point is shoes. For both men and women, wearing the right style and type of shoes can often serve as the most important and most visible item of interview attire.
For Men
For men there are four types of shoes that are acceptable for interviews. There are from most to least formal: the black oxford shoe, the black brogue shoe, the black tassel loafer and finally the black dress penny loafer. Each of these shoes has a distinct style and message. Regardless of which style of shoe is worn, they should be well maintained ? meaning not scuffed or worn at the heel and highly polished.
